EASTON - Walter "Doug" Brown, 81, lifelong resident of Easton passed away, with his loving daughters by his side on September 11, 2018 at Brigham and Women's Hospital from complications, after sustaining injuries at home. He was the husband of Judith M. (Tribou) Brown for 63 years.

Born in Easton, a son of the late Walter E. Brown and Dorothy E. (Warren) Brown. He was a graduate of Oliver Ames High School, where he was the captain of his football team.

Doug was a scheduler at the Foxboro Company, a Special Police Officer for the Town of Easton and before retiring, he continued his employment, transporting children with disabilities.

He was a member of the Easton Civil Defense. Doug enjoyed working in his yard, fly fishing, grocery shopping and loved the company of his grandchildren Matthew Lynch of Easton, Kendra Pereira, Danielle, Emily and Abigail Waldron of Taunton, and Elijah and Jacob Burroughs of Onset. He was also the great grandfather to Hunter Lynch of Easton and Amelia Pereira of Taunton.

In a addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Kimberly D. Brown-Lynch and her husband, Robert of Easton, Wendy D. Waldron and her husband, Matthew, of Taunton and Jennifer G. Burroughs and her husband, Joseph, of Onset. He was predeceased by his brother David Brown of Easton. He also had several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Easton Fire Department, Administrative Offices, 413 Bay Road, South Easton, MA 02375.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral on Monday at 10:00 a.m. in Kane Funeral Home & Cremation Services 605 Washington Street (Rte.138) Easton.
