Salvatore A. Quetta, 87, passed away February 13, 2017. He was the beloved husband of Rita (Mathieu) Quetta; son of the late Antonio and Maria (Previte) Quetta; beloved father of MaryAnne Borges and her husband Mario, Patricia E. Pascale and her husband Filip, Shirley E. Medici and her husband Michael, and Anthony M. Quetta and his wife Nicole; grandfather of nine. He was the brother of the late Rosario, Angela, Frank and Antonetta Quetta and Lucy Bettencourt.

Along with his brothers, Mr. Quetta was a co-owner of Wanskuck Greenhouses. He was also the former Director of Greenhouses at Butler Hospital. Mr. Quetta served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, was a lifetime member of the Lincoln Country Club and the Little Rhody Beagle Club of Warwick. He was a graduate of LaSalle Academy, Class of 1947 and the University of Rhode Island, Class of 1957. He was an avid skier, golfer, hunter, tennis player, and loved to dabble in architecture.

Visitation will be held Thursday, 4-7 p.m. with his funeral on Friday at 9 a.m. from the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. in St. Augustine Church, 639 Mount Pleasant Avenue, Providence. Burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket.
