VARONE, PASQUALINO “Uncle Pat”, 70, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family Wednesday April 11, 2018 at Courtland Place. He was the beloved husband of Donna (Capobianco) Varone for 46 years. Born in Esperia, Italy a son of the late Antonio and Maria (Perotta) Varone. Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Pasqualino A. Varone and wife Robin, siblings; Giovanina Varone Paliotta, Benedetta Varone Aceto, both of Rhode Island, Giuseppina Varone Terelli and Alberto Varone, both of Esperia, Italy. He is also survived by 23 nieces and nephews and many great and great-great nieces and nephews. Pasqualino “Uncle” Pat” was a cement plant Foreman for 34 years at Masters Masonry. He truly enjoyed making his homemade wine, limoncello, soppressata, capicola, sausage and mushrooms, he loved to cook for large groups of family and friends and hosted many game dinners for the Make-a-Wish Foundation as well as many other organizations. He was an avid bocce player and bowler, enjoyed hunting, playing cards and trips to the casino. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was Past-President of the Rhode Island Bocce League, Past-President of the Santa Maria DiPrata Society and member of the St. Mary’s Feast Society. His funeral is Monday at 8:45 a.m. from “WOODLAWN” Funeral Home 600 Pontiac Avenue Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Holy Apostles Church 800 Pippin Orchard Road, Cranston. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. CALLING HOURS SUNDAY 3-7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Make-A-Wish or the Tomorrow Fund. Please share memories and condolences at
