MONTI, MARY LOUISE, of Warwick, RI died Sunday March 19, 2017 at her home in Warwick, RI. She was 96 years old and the wife of the late Gaetano A. Monti, an appliance sales associate at Sears Roebuck & Co and owner of Knight Street Laundromat. Mary was the daughter of the late Comincio and Theresa Ciccarone of Warwick and the sister of the late Cecelia Gannon of Warwick. She is survived by four sons, Dr. Peter Monti ( wife Sylvia) of Jamestown; Robert Monti ( wife Audrey) of Ellington, CT and Charlestown, RI; David Monti (wife Virginia Magnan) of Warwick; and Henry Monti Esq. (wife Karyn) of East Greenwich and Narragansett. She cherished her family including thirteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by granddaughter Lisa. She was a great cook, homemaker and everyone was welcome in our home. Mary was a 1938 graduate of St. Xavier's Academy, Providence and worked in her father's grocery store and husband's business in Providence in addition to caring for her family. She was an active member of the Holy Ghost Church, and St. Benedict's Church, when a communicant at those parish. For the past twenty-five years she was a communicant of St. Timothy's Church and was a former member of the St. Margaret's Leisure Group, Rumford, RI. Her funeral is Thursday at 9:30 a.m. from "WOODLAWN" Funeral Home 600 Pontiac Avenue, Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Timothy's Church, 1799 Warwick Avenue, Warwick RI 02889. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery. Calling hours WEDNESDAY 5-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Timothy Church or Mount St. Rita's Health Center 15 Sumner Brown Road Cumberland, RI 02864.
