Carver - Donald Walter Harty, age 77, after a long battle with cancer, died peacefully at home on August 7th , in the care of his daughters. He was the beloved husband of 10 years to Margaret (Ryan) Harty, who predeceased him in January 2017, and Joyce (Hutchins) Harty, for 32 years. He was born in Weymouth, July 24, 1940, one of three children of the late William and Marion (Smallcombe) Harty. He was a Navy veteran, achieving the rank of Chief Petty Officer, part time police officer, store manager, lobsterman, and a salesman for Boston Coupling Company and Ed Lyons Fire Equipment. He leaves behind his beloved daughters, Deborah Augherton and her husband Richard, Susan Pottage and her husband James, Priscilla Pampalone and her husband Vito, his step children, Peter Ryan, Kelli-Ann Brown and her husband David, Michelle Jean and her husband Tom, his sister Mary Wojdylak and her husband James, many grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Visiting hours are 4-7pm on Thursday August 10th at Cartmell Funeral Home, 150 Court Street, Plymouth. Funeral services on Friday at 11:00 am in Christ Church Parish, 149 Court Street, Plymouth, burial with military honors to follow at Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne at 12:45 pm.
