Stephen, Peggy, Michaela, Jimmy and Bobby: John and I were very saddened to learn of your dad's passing. Peg and Steve had a wonderful life together with so many good times. But the best times were with all of you! Having your Grandparents live in John's mom and dad's house brought us many good times together, Your dad will be missed and we extend to you all our sympathy. Best wishes to each of you and your families.

I was very sorry to learn of the death of Steve Fanning. I got to know him and his wife many years ago because their sons came to La Salle Academy. I have good memories of Steve and his wife and they are in my prayers. I extend my sympathy to their family and assure them of my prayers. May Steve rest in peace.

Dear Fanning Children, Dan and Gus,
My deepest condolences on the loss of your dad and brother. He was a great man with a great sense of humor and a great sense of family and its history n RI. He was a top notch lawyer in an era when being an attorney was a profession rather than a job and when a person's word was his bond.

Peggy, Stephen, Michaela, Jimmy and Bobby:
I loved your Father and Mother. The Tyndall Avenue group always had such nice times at your house on Quincy Street.
Believe it or not -- I'm still working at PC and at 4 PM today there is an award ceremony that I planned and I will be going to it.
My daughter, Anne, will be attending the funeral in the morning.
I feel certain that your father has already reunited with your mother up in heaven. They were great people. They will always be in my prayers.

My condolences to all on the passing of Mr Fanning. My sisters and I grew up on Tyndall Avenue with the Fannings and we have many fond memories. He was also a close friend of my Dad's from the Bar Association.

Steve was one of the best gentlemen that I have ever met. I will miss seeing him at the SK Elks lodge for his lunch on Tuesday or a Thursday when I made him either a grilled ham and cheese or a huge BLT. Bill Forbesu

To the Fanning family, my sincere condolences on the passing of Steve. I had the pleasure of knowing him through involvement with the Elmhurst neighborhood and P.C. Alumni events. He was a true gentleman, a faithful Friar and made his profession, community, state and nation better places. May he rest in peace.
